Each individual has the right to a meaningful existence and they have the right to achieve their maximum potential. The goal of Occupational Therapy is to help people have independent, productive and satisfying lives Our limiting or mistaken beliefs have their foundations laid down in early childhood and they are carried with us into adulthood becoming our reality. PICT is able to change these beliefs through quick and effective techniques to bring about beneficial and lasting change This unique therapy enables positive changes to take place from the very first session in an unobtrusive, compassionate manner with minimal disclosure from the client. PICT was originally developed to assist adults who had suffered emotional or physical childhood abuse or inadequate parenting either unintentional or due to neglect. It can be used for anyone wishing to address any form of unwanted behaviour or emotional problem You can be assured that therapy takes place in a safe, non-judgemental and comfortable environment, where the security and wellbeing of my clients is a priority. Please do not hesitate to either call or email if you have any further questions or wish to discuss therapy further Within my area of work both with adults and adolescents, and I have found the Parks Inner Child Therapy (PICT) to be a powerful and versatile therapy model, which utilises aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Neuro-linguistic programming techniques whilst complimenting the philosophy of Occupational Therapy
